My business specializes in publishing children's books that authentically represent the African American experience through culturally grounded narratives. Drawing from real-life events from my upbringing, these books are designed to impart valuable life lessons on topics such as bullying, prejudice, stealing, and the importance of family strength. Each story serves as a tool for children, parents, and educators to connect, reflect, and grow, fostering positive representation and engaging storytelling that resonates with young readers.
My writing is deeply rooted in real-life experiences growing up in an African American household where love, structure, and resilience shaped who I am. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I bring discipline, purpose, and service into my work, but my creative journey began long before the military. I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling to heal, teach, and connect.
I write children's books inspired by my own upbringing, books that reflect the realities of growing up in communities that face real challenges like bullying, poverty, prejudice, and generational trauma. But at the heart of every story is hope. My stories highlight the strength of family, the lessons passed down through generations, and the belief that where you come from can be your greatest source of pride.
My writing style is warm, honest, and conversational. I aim to create culturally authentic stories that children can see themselves in, stories that spark conversations at home and in the classroom. Each book is a blend of heartfelt narrative, moral clarity, and emotional truth, written to inspire, uplift, and empower young readers.
